Kaine Arkinson
Kaine Arkinson is Managing Director of Shepherd Commercial, leading the firm's growth and strategic direction across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. Having joined the business in late 2017, Kaine has progressed through the firm to lead its next stage of development.
Kaine oversees Shepherd Commercial's agency, property management, valuation and professional services teams while remaining closely involved with major clients and instructions. His focus is on growing the firm's regional presence, developing new service lines and establishing Shepherd Commercial as one of the leading independent commercial property consultancies in the Midlands.

Chris Peutherer
Chris is a director of Shepherd Commercial and heads the firm's property management department, overseeing the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across the West Midlands and beyond.
Chris acquired John Shepherd Commercial in 1997 and has played a central role in the development of the business ever since. In 2005, he established Shepherd Commercial LLP, helping to shape the firm into the independent commercial property consultancy it is today. With almost three decades of experience leading the business, Chris has extensive knowledge of commercial property management and landlord and tenant matters. He continues to oversee the firm's management portfolio, working closely with clients and the wider property management team.

Commercial Agency Surveyor
Charlie Boswell
Charlie Boswell is a Commercial Agency Surveyor at Shepherd Commercial, working across the firm's sales, lettings and acquisition instructions throughout Birmingham and the wider West Midlands. He joined Shepherd Commercial from Savills in 2025, bringing experience from one of the UK's leading property consultancies.
Charlie works closely with landlords, occupiers and investors across the industrial, office and retail sectors, advising on the marketing and disposal of commercial property. He plays an active role in Shepherd Commercial's growing agency team, from winning and launching new instructions through to negotiating transactions and securing successful outcomes for clients.
Head of Valuation
James Millard MRICS
James Millard MRICS is Head of Valuations and a Consultant at Shepherd Commercial, leading the firm's valuation work across the West Midlands. James joined Shepherd Commercial from Coventry City Council, bringing extensive property experience from the public sector alongside his expertise as a Chartered Surveyor.
James undertakes a broad range of commercial property valuations, providing clear, independent advice to lenders, property owners, investors and businesses. He plays a key role in the continued growth of Shepherd Commercial's valuation department while providing senior consultancy and professional expertise across the firm.
Commercial Management Administrator
Clair Fitter
Clair joined Shepherd Commercial in 2024 from a family office, bringing experience in the financial and operational management of commercial property portfolios. She works within the firm's property management department, supporting the management of properties across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
Clair oversees key financial aspects of the managed portfolio, including rent collection and disbursement, service charge reconciliations and property accounting. She works closely with landlords, tenants and the wider management team to ensure the smooth day-to-day financial administration of client properties.
Office Manager
Tracey Peutherer
Tracey is Office Manager at Shepherd Commercial, overseeing the day-to-day administration of the firm and helping to ensure the smooth running of the office. She provides support across the business, working closely with the directors, surveyors and property management team.
Tracey plays a key role in coordinating the firm's administrative operations, supporting client communications, documentation and internal processes. Her role helps keep the wider team organised and ensures Shepherd Commercial continues to deliver an efficient and responsive service to its clients.
